Bar Set Horn and Sterling Silver and Metal by John Hasselbring Vintage c. 1930 Art Deco Period
This is an outstanding horn, sterling and bone John Hasselbring, Jr. bar set. This vintage boxed set includes the muddler, bottle opener, mixing spoon, corkscrew, olive pick and double jigger. The working parts are of a hard metal as would be expected, the cap ends, double jigger and spoon are sterling. The handles are stag horn. The pieces are engraved with the block letter "P" and are probably hand engraved. John Hasselbring, Jr. appears to have taken over his father's silversmith business in about 1910. The wooden box is lined to protect the pieces that are secured with their own soft loops. There is some staining to the liner of the box as would be expected of a piece this age. Overall it is in excellent condition. What a fabulous find!
