This wonderful coaching horn is brass and copper and measures about 32". The coach's hornsman would use his horn to announce the arrival of the coach. It comes apart into two sections as so many of these antique coach horns did for easy storage. It is enhanced with a black braided rope that would have been used to secure the horn in case of its inadvertent slip from the hand or to hang the horn while not in use. These horns make wonderful decorative pieces in your library, living room or hunt box.
