This is a lovely, unusual and very detailed door stop from England. It measures over 10 1/2" tall, almost 6" across and weighs about 6 pounds, substantial. It features a handsome fox mask as its focal point surrounded by the details of fox hunting: horseshoe, whip with thong, boots and gives a nod to Aesop's fable of the fox and grapes with a vine and grapes at its peak. It is solid brass, in attractive vintage condition with a wonderful patina. This would be a perfect decorative element in a hunt box, stable or a home library. What a thoughtful gift!
