Door Stop Vintage 1949 Cast Iron Fox Hunting Motif

This vintage cast iron door stop with fox hunting motif subjects was manufactured in 1949 by the Union Manufacturing Company, Bowertown, PA.  The door stop is over 11" tall, 6 1/4" across, 4 1/4" deep and weighs over nine pounds.  It is an exceptional piece marked JZH for John Zimmerman Harker, owner of the manufacturing company, DS for door stop and the number 1. The focal point is the fox mask framed by two hunt whips and two hunt boots and topped with a grape vine.  It is a true focal piece and perfect for home or office.
