Flask - Sterling Silver and Glass - Victorian - Gorham - Zipper Cut Lay Down Flask - 1 of 2 Made
This antique 9 1/2" long Victorian period Gorham flask is hallmarked and was made in Birmingham, England in 1870. It is a lay-down flask of amber colored zipper cut glass. The flask's screw-on cap and neck are sterling and are hallmarked. This flask could hold spirits in a gentleman fox hunter's leather flask scabbard. The zipper edges enable a firm hold. The bottom has some very minor chipping that does not effect the flask's fluid tight integrity or its appearance. It is one of ONLY two made as noted by the makers marks.
