This pin is so lovely. It is of European provenance, probably English, and in stellar vintage condition. It measures a generous 2 1/2" long and is hallmarked on the reverse for 9 ct along with the makers mark "C&F". The thong receiving end and collar are of sterling silver with a strong metal straight pin to guard against bending. With the fox's red faceted stone eyes and mask, inside a well detailed horseshoe atop a hunt whip form, it would be lovely to wear in the hunt field or out for the day or evening. a very versatile, eye-catching piece
