From a Cincinnati estate, this brooch/stock pin in hunt whip form is 18 kt yellow gold with a quartz, hand painted cabochon featuring a formally dressed rider taking a coop. The piece weighs 7.9 grams, is 2 1/4" long, hallmarked with the French Eagle mark and the Cartier hand stamped maker's mark. It is rubbed, but easily shows "Cartier 905". It also has an import mark.
