This is a vintage brass interior door knocker most likely manufactured in England. It could be used outside too but because of its size, it would have traditionally been used on an interior door. It measures 3 3/8" long and 2 1/2" wide and would make an excellent decorative element on a bedroom or bath door. It features a mounted fox hunter taking a fence with the words, "Good Luck" as part of the fence. It has a fox mask holding a hunt whip in its mouth at the top, and on the acutal knocker, in the form of a horseshoe, is a horseshoe at its center. It has much detail and would be an appreciated gift...maybe to yourself!
