This antique 14 kt yellow gold antique brooch is in an enameled horseshoe form. It is enameled in a deep hunter green color, has a strong C clasp, is 7/8" long and wide and weighs a nice 4 grams. The detailing of the horse shoe reflects its designer's understanding of horses and their shoes as it shows even a toe clip! The secret of its age is found on the reverse revealing Old English engraving that reads, "To M.P. 2-28-15" What a story it must have to tell! It is a lovely piece to be given as a gift to the horse lover, or lover of antique jewelry.
