This vintage reverse carved and painted intaglio crystal is set in a 14kt yellow gold back and beaded edge frame. It measures just over 0.75" in diameter, the dome is in very good condition, as is the frame. There is minimal paint loss to the image, and can only be seen under magnification. Is it rich in its detail with the jockey taking a fence on a chestnut mount. There is a tiny dent and superficial scratches to the reverse. The closure is tight with the pin in very good condition. This would make a perfect gift for the lover of horses, racing or the lost form of the art of reverse intaglio.
