This remarkable antique cigarette case would make a perfect addition to any silver collection especially that of a fox hunting afficinado. It would have been carried inside of a man's clothing thus explaing its gentle convex shape. It measures about 3 1/4" square and is in very good vintage to antique condition. What makes it unique is the cover of the case boasting a very detailed bas relief of hunters taking a fence with hounds in hot pursuit of their quarry. The rider and horse in the foreground are in remarkable detail right down to the rider's mustache! The border is a typical Art Nouveau embellishment. The case opens revealing a gilt interior and the makers mark, Silveroin. This mark was used by the Bristol Manufacturing Company Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1895-1915. The reverse shows a lovely Old English K engraving. The case measures 3 1/4" square and is hinged with a snap closure. Hurry and make this yours!
