This is a very large, heavy, crystal and sterling silver antique flask. It is hallmarked for Birmingham, England, 1907. Although very large, 7 1/2" tall, 4" wide and 2" deep, it is correctly called a Half Flask with a smooth flat back and a bowed ribbed front. It is very unique in its design, but also in that the sterling silver neck and bubble cap are made together, screw off as a unit revealing sterling threads, and a glass stopper that fits amazingly tightly into the opening. It would also serve as an unusual smaller decanter. This is a must for the collector of antique flasks especially of the Edwardian period or as sophisticated home decor.
