This is an excellent example of a reverse carved and painted crystal. It is of a noble horse in profile carved into mother of pearl. He reflects outstanding remarkable detail including a rich bay color, blaze and black bridle with a decorative rosette. It is set in a rope design frame of sterling silver, and measures 1" in diameter. The AMCO mark for A. Micalleff and Company, incorporated in 1948, along with the sterling silver hallmark is found on the reverse. This vintage piece is in pristine condition and at a wonderful price point for a lovely reverse carved crystal work of art.
