This very late Victorian to early Edwardian stock pin is 14 kt yellow gold and in hunt whip form. It is 2 1/2" long, so perfect for the hunt field and has a very good weight. The closure is tight with a safety catch and a straight pin that is straight as an arrow. The reverse carved and painted crystal is of a fox hunter in scarlet with white breeches and tall black boots on a bay mount with a blaze taking a white fence. The detail is amazing and the paint is intact, bright and impressive. The cabochon measures 1/2" in diameter. This pin would be a wonderful brooch to wear to dinner.
