We could hardly wait to list this in our store. This outstanding vintage 14 kt yellow gold stock pin is 2" long and embellished with a reverse painted crystal or intaglio encased in gold of a gentleman hunter taking a hedge on a lovely chestnut hunter. The gentleman's a dandy, even turning his noble face toward you as he bids you good day in his top hat and scarlet. The cabochon atop a safety pin form is about 1/2" inch in diameter and shows great detail. The entire pin has a wonderful weight with a very tight safety closure, so loosing it would be almost impossible. This is truly a lovely stock pin, so much so that wearing it as fine jewelry would be a head turner. And as added value, it comes in its original velvet lined leather box that is marked in gold, "Jones, 31 St. James Place, London S.W." What a find!...and the only one we have like it.
