This is a wonderful antique fox hunting theme sterling silver brooch. Because it has a C closure we can date it from somewhere between 1850-1910, so Victorian to Edwardian. It has the makers mark, AJH, and is stamped Made in England, sterling. The finely detailed brooch measures 1 1/4" from whip tip to tip, 7/8" wide and tall. It features the form of a fox's mask, a whip with thong and a horseshoe as its frame. This is a lovely accessory and could also serve as a stock pin for hunters and dressage riders alike.
