This brooch is of a colorful pheasant on grass. The reverse carved and painted brooch features a pheasant with a bright orange breast, light brown feathers, and green neck with a gold ring. There may be some scant paint loss to the background. The colors are bright, the pheasant image is sharp, and is framed in sterling silver. The silver is marked for sterling on the reverse and also for the WE Richards Jewlery Company. It measures about 1 1/2" long and 1" tall. The stem is sharp, and the C clasp is tight.
