Whip - Fabulous Custom Design Hunt Whip with Sterling Horse Head Cap and WWII Swagger Stick Shaft - Known Provenance
Do you want to impress with a fantastic find? We were amazed when we learned of it and were able to acquire it. This hunt whip was created by the late David Rhea, a Middle Tennessee artisan whose wife was a fox hunter. We have never seen another like it. The horse head cap is sterling, and the shaft, a WWII swagger stick, is constructed of ebony, and has five stainless steel bands. The entire whip is 24 3/4" long. The sterling horse head form cap is 1 3/4" from nose to mane and ears to shaft. It has a wonderful weight and the entire whip, including the threading and leather are in very good condition with some very superficial, light leather cracking. It is vintage. What a statement piece for the hunt field!
