Place Card Holders Fox Hunt Motif Sterling Silver Edwardian England
This wonderful c.1910 set of Edwardian fox hunt motif place card holders are full of interest and detail. Two of the card holders are of hunt whip, horseshoe and fox mask form on a base, are 2" tall and 2 1/4" wide, and have the makers mark of Mappin and Webb of London. The horse shoes are 1 1/4" tall and have the makers mark of Cornelius Saunders and Francis Shepard of Chester, England, and all four are sterling silver, hallmarked, and in outstanding antique condition. These are incredible pieces and would be a coveted addition to a hunt, silver, or home decor collection.
