From a Tennessee collection, this is a lovely 2" long stock or bar pin. It is of German origin and appears to have the gold makers mark of Eispert Richard stamped on the reverse of the horseshoe. It is marked 750 which is 18 kt gold. The stock pin is yellow gold and in the form of a riding crop and horseshoe. The straight pin is fastened by a trombone (slide) closure making it very secure. The horseshoe is finely detailed with four nail holes on each side and a toe clip This pin will arrive in its original vintage velvet lined and leather presentation box marked, "Baltensperger A. C. Zurich". The box will not completely latch and stays open about 1/8". What a wonderful gift to yourself or that special person in your life!
