Do you love pieces with known provenance? This beautiful stick pin is from Springfield Farm located on The Plains Road, Middleburg, Virginia, the former estate of Elizabeth Dunn Clark (1936-2017), an avid dog breeder, fox hunter, and horse racing aficionado. It is 18Kt yellow gold and the hand painted reverse crystal image of a black retriever is accented with a tan to brown collar and soft brown eye. The reverse is covered in glass, has a space between the crystal and glass so appears to be a locket. The stem has a rope twist keeping it more securely in place. The pin measures 2 1/4" long and the crystal is 3/4" in diameter. This is one of our favorite pieces, and a must for the retriever lover and lover of unique antiques.
