Vesta Antique Sterling Silver Fox Hunt Scene Made in England
This is a spectacular hinged antique sterling silver vesta. Vestas were used to carry matches and today are highly sought collectable pieces. This vesta was made in Birmingham, England, 1881 as noted by the hallmarks found when opening the hinged top. What makes this one so unique is that the bas relief fox hunting scene is found on both sides of the vesta, and it has a striker on the bottom. It also has a ring that would have probably been used to attach it to a chain. It is in outstanding Victorian era condition . It measures 2" tall, 1" across and has a 1/4" opening. Make it yours soon!
