This is the most unique rug that you will ever own. This shaped vintage wool rug, probably c. 1960, is in the form of a sitting fox. He is dressed in his formal hunt kit including his Pinques, whip and tall boots with his French Horn and trusty tri-color hound sitting at his side. It measures 46 1/2" long and 27 1/2" wide at its widest point. We have never seen another one like it, it is truly wonderful, and would be such a conversation piece in your hunt box, library, family room, or even a young hunter's bedroom. The colors are bright and clear, the wool intact. There is a tiny stain on the fox's tail and on the hound, back has a bit of staining with a tiny tear and a inventory tag at the top. It has been professionally cleaned and ready to use. An outstanding piece!
